Who's the fifth cylon? Answer 2: Anastasia "Dee" Dualla

Oh, the fifth cylon is definitely, decidedly, undoubtedly Dee. There's only one piece of evidence, but it's a doozy: her name.

Anastasia is the feminine form of the Greek name Anastasius, which means "resurrection." As in the ship.

This can't be an accident. If the producers of Battlestar Galactica had named a character Erectus, you would assume that he's a prick. And when they name a character Resurrection, you assume that she's a cylon.

Dualla implies a dual nature -- someone who is not what she seems. Dee is a Sagittaron, and Sagittarons are pacifists. In fact, Sagittaron refugees were reluctant to board the Galactica, simply because it was a warship (The Woman King). But Dee volunteered to serve in the Colonial Fleet Reserve, despite her people's pacifism.

What other aspects of a dual character does Dualla display? None, really. And that's exactly why she is suspected of being a cylon. She's deep in the closet, so to speak, like at least one other character we could name.

Next suspect: Helena Cain.
